Grenada provides a wealth of recreational opportunities. It is home to
Grenada Lake, a 35,000-acre flood control lake with more square
footage than Ross Barnett Reservoir. The lake (the largest body of
water in the state) offers miles of nature trails, campgrounds,
beaches, boating facilities and hundreds of great fishing holes.
A visitor center, fitness trail and tennis courts are just some of the
recreation opportunities located on the lake in addition to boating
and picnicking facilities.
Civil War redoubts are also located on Grenada Lake project lands and
Civil War reenactments take place here.
George Payne Cossar State Park is nestled on the shores of Enid Lake,
and features lots of hunting, fishing and recreational opportunities.
Hugh White State Park is on the 64,000-acre Grenada Reservoir. The
1,256-acre park offers such |
|
amenities as a pool,
cabins, lodge, RV and tent sites, and a 200-acre 18-hole, par-72
golf course.
The Grenada Golf Club
also offers 18 holes over 6,375 yards with a par of 71.
